Frilford based Millet's Farm, is a great place for littles! Enjoy a big area full to the brim with things to do. Free entry, free and ample parking and fun awaits you:
Feed the ducks
Make some crafts (summer crafts on most days throughout summer)
Pick some fruit and veggies
Shop in the farm shop (bakery counter is the best)
Browse the garden centre (if you get to the back you'll meet the chickens for sale)
Play in the park
Ride the carousel
Get lost in the Maize Maze
Have a picnic
See the farm animals...the list is long
MIllet's Farm is a big centre of things to do for families. It's extra special to me as I visited as a child. In many years it hasn't changed much, it's just got bigger and better.
There's a choice of places to eat, whether you fancy a sandwich in the garden centre, a drink on the patio or a picnic on the grass. The farm shop plays host to a selection of baby food pouches and some of the most delicious home made cakes.
We've never struggled to find a place to change baby or acquire a high chair.
We love it so much we booked our little to see santa last December - they had reindeer, an ice rink and an elf workshop. Was so special! I'd reccommend that for littles if they do it again.
Our little had so much fun running about, picking strawberries, meeting the pigs, lovely lunch... we completely tuckered him out in a few short hours. They even have a fab outdoor sandpit, completely covered so littles can play as if at the beach whilst keeping safe in the shade.
Couple things I would say - lunch didn't last long, the garden centre patio from the cafe is right next to all the outdoor plants. It's a haven for wasps, and there's oils about to keep them away. Not sure our oil was strong enough so lunch was a bit ruined. A precious sit down with a little was very short!
Also, you can spend as much or as little as you want to there, but most things have a cost. Fruit and veg picking, for example, you are paying a price for picking your own fresh strawberries. Summer crafts - at £5.99 per child we gave it a miss. Our little is just too little to scribble on a bit of card for nearly £6, but we got some good ideas for crafts to do at home. The craft shop next to it is lovely.
We've always been happy having a bit of a treat lunch with grandparents there, or even just going for a bit of a look around, play and feed the ducks. Although we do always spend something (the bakery calls us)....
Thank you so much Millet's Farm for many, many years of fun. Hope my little loves it as much as I still do!
