Review: Picasso, Caversham - A little night off

A mum pal and I finally were able to set a date to go out..baby free..at night. Dads were parenting, not babysitting, whilst we were released to eat and drink with the general public. Hoorah!

Our destination of choice this fine Saturday evening was Picasso (http://www.picasso-tapas.co.uk/), a little family run restaurant on Bridge Street, Caversham.

First I should say, there's a steep step in, which feels like an even steeper step out once you've had a few. A few too many.

They had me at olives. The following tapas was varied and delicious, a big choice for carnivores. A smaller choice for veggies, but then what you can order is so tasty too. We had about four dishes between two of us and there was enough leftover to feed another.

I heard a few warnings to a few tables to be careful not to over order, because the tapas plates are big.

Aside from the food what makes this place so wonderful is the atmosphere. So many places boast about their warm and friendly reception, but this place is true to its word. It's family run, friendly and you are made to feel at home.

We intend to return with our littles so watch this space for that review!

Thanks Picasso for a precious night off and lovely meal for two tired mamas.
